A prestigious school, it was awarded the title “National Outstanding Units In The Cultural Educational Field ” by the State Council. It was also praised by the greatest educationist Ye Shentao as “Jimei Second” for its garden-like arrangements, imposing schoolhouse, and attractive greenery. It is one of the first batch of provincial key Middle Schools. It was evaluated as a provincial first- class key Middle School in 1996 and started to enroll students from the whole province in 1998.
